Janice Bennett

photography + design + BOOKS

My passion for Spanish history and culture led me to write two books about Spanish relics, the Sudarium of Oviedo, the face cloth of Jesus from the Crucifixion,  and the Holy Chalice of Valencia, believed to be the Holy Grail, the cup used by Jesus at the Last Supper. The subsequent interest in these relics of Christianity has always surprised me a bit—who would have imagined they would later be featured on popular programs like National Geographic and The History Channel.

My other passion is photography: travel, landscape, wildlife, nature, HDR, macro, people, products... I love it all! Even more fun than taking photos is often finding the right "look" for them in post-processing. Lately I have been experimenting with brush strokes in Topaz Impressions, not to mention trying out all the filters, textures and various  tools  available in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, as well as ON1 Photo 10 and even Macphun. Photography has never before offered so much to stimulate creativity!
